The only people here who can limit a person's "freedom of speech" here on this forum are the moderators. By adding someone to your ignore list, you are not preventing someone from saying something, you are merely preventing yourself from hearing what that person has to say. In most cases, I would generally agree that it is good to listen. However, there is nothing wrong with ignoring someone should you choose to do so.

As a matter of fact, I've only ever ignored one person: Dethred. I've never ignored anyone else on any other forum, even RSC.
Quote from XCNuse :@maggot; if you dont currently enjoy your freedom of speech, im sure a moderator has the capability of reviving you lol

as far as i can tell, this forum obviously has a freedom of speech
... hell, tristan has 4k freaking posts! i'd say thats pretty much the freedom of talking if you ask me lol

You missed my point. Freedom of speech doesn't give you (I'm talking in a general sense of 'you,' not you in particular ;P) the right to constantly berate things and spoute unfounded views and all that junk all the time. All it is intended to do is protect citizens from their 'government.'

And what I meant about the non-free-speech here is that at any time the admins/devs/moderators are perfectly within their rights to shut you up, and there is nothing you can do about it. Regardless of the topic or situation. This forum is not a democratic country, it is a private site. What the owners say goes, regardless of what you want.
Freedom of speech defined.
Yes, we have the ability to limit your freedom of speech in here, but that ability is quite seldomly used. We have a lot bigger tolerances in here than at the RSC (where I used to be a S. Mod), and I'm very happy with that.

LOL I actually seen more locked threads on here than I did on LFS forums @ RSC.... I haven't been there in a long while though. And no, I ain't complaining about that.
Those threads that got locked needed it.

I don't have a clue what KiD does over there, nor do I care. I'm glad that
LFS moved here. On RSC, the site loaded soooo slow and when I went to other forums on the site (Nascars and GPL), they really wasn't worth dealing with.

I'm not a fan-boy, but face it. For the most part, the other titles do suck compared to LFS..... If Kid feels the need to point that out, then....
ok fine. It's not something I'm gonna lose any sleep over.
And pissing off pasty faced gamers (oops SIM Enthusiasts...please...)
is kinda fun to do.
Why bring up all this "Freedom of Speech" mumbo jumbo anyways??? This is the INTERNETZ!!! Who cares!
@racer Y

thats because we have so many dumb people come in and say something thats been said a billion times lol

it is somewhat bothersome though that threads are just locked.. and not really deleted, because some .. need to be deleted, like double threads

i agree with tweak...

tweak for presidente! lol < that lol is for you

That is the point I was getting at.
Quote from Vykos69 :Well, you guys just dont read his posts right.

I don't wonder that at all. Might help understanding his posts if he hasn't slept in the school or then his keyboard has broken Caps Lock and Shift buttons. Altough seems like when he invented his tEeNaGeD nIcKNaMe those buttons did work...
