Friend was thinking about getting S2 license, so we go to https://www.lfs.net/?page=shop

Then click the german shop further down:

But that only lists the manual and S1 to S2 update.
Where is the demo-to-S2 update?
I got my S2 from there but now can not find it.

I guess it's not about downloading, but buying the S2 license. About that I have no idea where it has gone, I also wondered what happend with that. Maybe they aren't allowed to sell S2 anymore.

According to LFS Shop, www.live-for-speed.de is the only German local sales point now.

hm, but that just links to 4players.de again, where only items for purchase is printed manual and s1-to-s2 update.

You should probably go to the german lfs forum and ask flo or one of the other admins. I would imagine they know the internals better since 4players is just another reseller of s2 licences, there is not much the devs, or any other member of this forum can do about this.

Edit: Just to ask the obvious question, but why not buy it directly from lfs.net? They use a reasonable amount of payment methods so there should be something for everyone.

Sorry about that, I didn't check the actual URL, and live-for-speed.de resolves to 4players.de anyway.

I guess the only options are to contact 4players and ask about this, or purchase directly from https://www.lfs.net/?page=shop

I must admit, it does appear to be an odd arrangement 4players use.

4players does not order new licenses anymore as they are making changes to their shop. But they still have S1->S2 updates available until they are sold out.

If purchasing through 4players is really much easier for you than purchasing a license directly from our site, then you can order 2 of the update vouchers at 4P, which equals one full S2 license. You'll then receive two voucher codes that you enter on our site and will upgrade your account (or I guess, you may be looking to buy a license for someone else) from demo to S1 and then from S1 to S2 licensed.

thank you, that is what I needed to know.
Purchase via 4players is a bit easier as it does not require paypal or creditcard but can be done via simple "wire transfer". (hope that is the correct term, "Überweisung")

Yeah I can also say that getting LFS via a simple transfer was easier for me when I was younger. In fact my parents did the transfer and I gave them the money I was too far away of credit cards or paypal back then.
