Well, this is the 'post your RIDE' thread, kind of implying something you ride. There is a separate car thread for all you car drivers.

Everyone knows bikes are cooler, more fun and more spiritual than cars, so lets keep the cars and the bikes separate

Just to make this on topic, I used to ride a Kawasaki ZZR250. Real life has got in the way, but I long to return to two wheels!
Cars are great for when its raining or cold, but on a sunny sunday, blasting along the coast road, you can't beat the thrill of a bike..........untill some blind cager pulls out in front of you LOL.

Plus, show me a £3000 car that can go anywhere near as fast as my little CBR

Dan,

Yeah! And when you're out riding... What's a traffic jam?
Quote from danowat :
BTW, how come you have your bike license, but not your car?, I thought if you lost your car license you also lost the "right" to use your bike license too, didnt realise they were mutually exclusive

Dan,

i lost my car liscence when i was 18, because i hadnt been driving 2 years i would have had to resit my theory and test. ill stick with the bike for now. although the 80 mile commute in sub zero temperatures this winter may change my mind
Quote from xxxrated :sweet, would that be the 122/123 engines?? had a 122 engined rs125 and was an absolute hoot, with the gearing and weight advantage on the karts though i bet there easily twice as quick.do any classes run the the 257 lump?? seem to be rare as rocking horse s**t, would love 1 for an r125 conversion/track bike

It's not a bike engine, it was made specifically for karts.

Division 1 superkarts can run Rotax 257 engines AFAIK, they do 165mph and the 0-60mph record in race setup (not drag setup) is 1.9 seconds. illepall
love a litre twin, but love v4's more

next bike, prob a cheap(less then a grand) 600 or something, maybe a 500 commutor, to turn my nc30 into a 1 off endurance rep special.full track bike, with a numberplate. no mirrors or indicaters, digital dash, quick release bits and bobs, lightweight everything....gonna be expensive, but itll be mine

Geez - that'll be light. How much does it way in standard form?

Always been tempted by a full on track day special Aprillia RS250.
Quote from v4forlife :its a skateboard....a longboard to be semi exact. a long plank of wood with wheels.

i used to skate(inline) so im aloud to insult the gay on a tray, wank on a plank etc. lol(just joshin, lol)

No, it's not a longboard. It's a picture of my car that I posted on a similar thread on a longboard forum. It's a 1976 BMW 1502.

Stupid fruit-booter.

You drive a very grown-up, mature car for an 18 year old... Or you just know what a "REAL" car is!! Good on ya'!!

Thanks. I wanted something RWD, and the Mk1/2 Escorts are too expensive. Mine's going in for it's MOT tomorrow, hopefully it'll pass, because I'm taking it on a 1500 mile trip round Europe next month.

It's an old "R" but it can still do that - truly excellent engineering - Good luck with the MOT and your trip!! Give us a big load of feedback like Tristan did with his F3 racing and me and the other guys did with the British Motor Show!! We need all the log of breakdowns (i'm sure it will be empty) and we need fuel comsumption and everything!!

NO! I went there expecting to be able to drive the Mazda Zoom Zoom bit, but you have to be 21, which sucked. Watched someone royally **** up a gearchange though, they completely forgot the clutch, ouch.

yea, the demo RC30....i think its a shame that they did that to a perfectly good bike, but it is cool for the mechanically minded ones.
well, daily driver would be a BMW 318is or a jeep wrangler X
