well the review seems to be done nicely. A good commentary on the action and I do like the conception of the event. I would strongly recommend you to make a thread about something the same in the future in Movies section, instead of puttin' this here, in General LFS Discussion section, IMO. Anyways, good luck

A nice brief review of the event, good commentary and good selection of scenes. The only thing I miss is are the final points standings. One the one hand you could have used own graphics as overlays to show who is who which would make it more professional in a way of "mimicing" real life motorsport coverage, but on the other hand your video the way it is has the charme of old school eSport coverage which might be lost otherwise.

About the thread being in the wrong forum, I strongly believe that the thread is moved at some point.

As I edited & recorded throughout most of the day I wish my voice was a little more enthusiastic & more consistent, but always next time to improve. I left a link in the description with the final points standings as at the time of making the video they hadn't been calculated yet! Mopz ended up winning the event

Well done, I know how much effort this kind of thing is to make.

I would suggest getting some camera software, the default LFS camera focuses on 1 car centre frame and that always feels very fake to me, a real TV broadcast motor race rarely keeps 1 car centre frame and often it isnt the best view to see cars side-by-side - but there are a few insim applications that already handle this stuff and don't cost a penny.

The other advice I would give is to pitch your vocal volume with the action, changes in volume and pace of your speech will help to build excitement and keep viewer interest.

Thanks Becky, it is definitely. On last year's race videos I used TVDirector but this time as I did highlights rather than commentate the whole race therefore I used the default cameras to pick what I wanted to report on. In the music video posted above I did a whole bunch of my own camera angles, that was much more enjoyable to make.

As for my voice, I completely agree & it is one thing I didn't like overall is that I needed to sound like I was going with the highlights rather than being fairly linear. I will give it another go next time & give it a bit more enthusiasm heh.

That would be a worry! For the record Games.On.Net = GON and the gaming series (is more than LFS) is loosely termed as a gaming Olympics for the community there, hence GONlympics

Wow, oneGP, that's some time ago. I remember that pretty well. I'm still doing stuff like that, I shifted my focus onto live coverage though.

Ha yeah that is right back in CTRA days etc I was SilverArrows77, or [AA] Silver77, if that rings a bell. Anyway, just recognised your name in here and remembered talking about this kinda of stuff with you back then. Live coverage would be excellent, and so much easier these days then back in those previous years, will have to keep my eye out for it
