and it wont recognize in my lfs option menu as a controller how can i
set this to recognize it as a programmable keypad that i can use as like a button box?

Hi Allen:

A device like that will probably announce itself to the computer as a keyboard. Because of that, you'll want to assign buttons to it as if it were a keyboard.

If you're looking for something that actually acts as a controller, you'll probably want to either build your own using either a spare controller, or a HID controller such as this along with a selection of buttons of your choice, mounted however you want.

As for a prebuilt solution, depending on your financial range.. you might look at these or others on the forum may be able to suggest other makes as well.
