Well then if they were to input a lot more then maybe we can do it monthly or quaterly like a competition and that will be an incentive - It has to be done properly and they have to be genuine and not ask really stupid, obvious questions. Most of us can pick out what is obvious and what is genuine!

A competition is a much better idea than just giving him one because he won't get a job and earn some money.

Atleast with a competition you might have to actually do something.

Well we need to start somewhere and by doing this then if it goes ahead it will show everybody that if we say it will happen then it will - and it wont be just a pack of lies!!

how about we set him a target of say 20 post he has to make in a day which have to be interesting, properly structured will correct use of grammar and punctuation? to prove his worth..

Well it seems that this guy is pretty needy for information and like i said, it is obvious and by looking at his spellin etc it seems that he could have his questions answered with a solution and that solution can be getting him the license to find out the things for himself!

I haven't met anyone... I just read their posts and J.B. seems like a coherent person who could even prove useful in the development process.

We don't want to make him do it because then it will just seem like he wants to find questions to make up and they won't be very genuine because if he has no questions in 1 day then by these terms - he could lose his chance!

I feel it's not fair on other demo racers who may also be totally nuts about lfs, maybe more so than faster, and maybe longer so too. But because they may not be so vocal, I just feel a bit against favoritism here. It's a really thoughtful idea, and I really believe he does deserve it, but unless everyone can have one... I'm going to have to vote no.

As far, as I understand it, he already has a licence, but posts under a different name, so it says demo racer. At least someone said that a few days ago in another thread.

I've already bought enough licences for people for free - wheel4hummer (LFS) and Kamkor (nKP) were both out of the kindness of my heart. If faster can write me an eloquent PM about why he deserves LFS, then I will CONSIDER buying it for him.

But I think a competition is a better idea. And I voted NO

*My definition, and my definition only, of what eloquent is shall count. I will also take spelling, punctuation, and grammar into account, and my opinion counts. I am open to bribery (minimum £24), and a little bit of sucking up (as it were), but not too blatently.

how about, we give him an s2 license, but then he is legaly bound to learn to write in english properly? we could set up a thread in off topic to learn him. *thinks "lfs school of ye old english" *

What would you do if you were in the situation of a shy demo user that obviously wants a free S2 license? Would you speak out?

I voted No.

If the community are going to give a licence away, then at least make whoever gets it, earn it.

Just because you think he's funny or because he can't spell is no reason for giving someone a £24 licence.

Lol the ideal thing would be, even though we find him funny and entertaining, for him to not have to ask the questions but to find out the answers for himself and that can be helped with a license, can it not?

Plus it should make us feel better knowing that we have helped somebody. I know it makes me feel better

no, i don't care if is the fastest, oldest demo racer there is. He can ask his parents, if they say no then he can beg them(that's how i got my license, and i'm begging me parents into a wheel now).

a competion/lottery would be much much better. Think of the other demo racers.

I like the idea of a competition too and also - you wont be buying a license by yourself - all you could do is contribute... Maybe we should set up a competition? Would you be in with it? A lot of people look up to because you ae very knowledgable and a big poster so maybe we could do with yours and other "high-authoritical" people!
