Hi All,

In trying to make LFS for fun for all, I was wondering if I could have about 10 drivers to help me test a few settings with different cars for a few minutes of your time.

You will see my server online, and I just require people to drive the following:

FXO
XRG
RAC
LX4
FZ50

The AI don't really help, so if your interested, please PM me for password

I would like to thank Gav, Rob, Eza, Toni, Sobis and Kiyashi for helping me out.

I have hit the nail on the head, so basically, more cars for people that don;t like TBO but levelled out by adding weight and changing the intake for each car.

You should try to avoid adding a ballast restriction (weight) unless it is mandatory, also intake restriction. What was it you were exactly trying to achieve? Didn't get much information from the OP.

He was trying to make LRF and TBO equal. I don't remember the restrictions but I remember him saying that he wants to leave TBO unrestricted (which is a bad thing as TBO itself is unequal).

I might be wrong but....I was testing with the AI on the dragstrip. Here is how to make the TBO and LRF cars equal. (I put the xrt, fxo, lx6, rac and fz5 against a stock rb4.)

Note: Make a copy of the default hard track setup provided.

Do not touch the rb4, leave it stock.

If you put 1.0% fuel in each car, each car driven by the AI, should have almost the same time as the RB4.

I thought we pretty much got it right last night, with out restricting the TBO ( as they are the slower class) The FZ50, RAC and LX was all up their on similar lap times

Basically what I was trying to acheive is a server than can competivatly host the RB4, FXO, XXR, RAC, FZ50 and LX as these are all road going cars, and gives drivers more options than just the TBO class, as some drivers don't like TBO.

If we can equal the field from the faster cars, it gives drivers more options.

I did email Scawen enquiring about adding the FXO but with slicks and downforce to the UFRGT and XFGGT (like the BTCC) gives us an extra car in that group

My thought was, instead of adding more content, just adapt things we have to give us more options while we wait for S3. The FXO is a fictional car anyway, so there is not comparison on handling and tyre modeling with its non real like counter part?

Done some more testing and have found very similar lap-times on Aston Club with the following settings. All cars had 9% fuel

FXO - Unrestricted
XRT - Unrestricted
RAC - +2kg and 23% Intake
LX6 - 25% Intake
FZ50 - 17% Intake

Tyres lasted ok, except for the FXO fronts over a 5 lap race

What do you think, worth a try?

because it's not so close when not hotlapping

I follow this topic when you are getting locked the optimal restrictions

Good idea there. I always hated tbo servers - the cars were not equal there. My solution was to just race with one type of car on the server but that's just me. Good luck with that gents. Any more tests scheduled?

Hi Jan, this was using Qualify all cars on track at the same time.

Might get it online a little later Kamo, as I fell we are very close now with the correct settings

I like the idea, but if it did turn into a server, it would be dominated by aliens in lx6's still at south city, fe gold and other tracks with lots of turns and small straights.

Why would it be dominated by LX when they are all at the same speed And it would be all sorts of tracks, as I would choose them

Sorry guys, my fibre router just rebooted for no reason. I have just looked in, and its only running at 2mb when should be 20mb?

Give a moment to do some tests and contact BT. Hoepfully just needs a reboot
