What do you think to the grid order being set by your best lap from the previous race?
It would place racers with similar speed adjacent to each other without the need for qualifying. I'm thinking it would be of more use for the general pick-up-and-race server.

Also, faster racers who missed the previous race can do a few laps (while keeping out of the way) and start the next race up with the other faster racers.

+1, i think its a very good ideas for stuff like AS Nat races where someone slow at the front can be disasterous!

The potential issue is that those who have been racing may end up being shoved down the grid by last minute joiners who come along and do a quick hotlap on a hotlapping set. Not a bad idea though, tbh anything other than reverse grids are fine.

I think it's really a good idea for fast racers if they dont have the time to work themselves through 20 slow cars until they can have a nice race with the fast guys at the front.
