Good afternoon,

Was curious to know if there is a group/league that runs autocross events? I would be interested in this if so. I searched Google/LFS forums, but everything about autocross is a few years old. Nonetheless, just checking to see whats out there.

I normally race on iRacing, but have grown tired of it due to the amount of time spent learning a track/car just to get wrecked or crash myself in the race. *Not necessarily iRacing's fault*

I do AutoX in actual life so I would rather spend my time running AutoX on a sim Vs. road racing which I do not do. I do the sim stuff for a bit of training more than just for kicks.

for autocross you need s2 first. also there has been a mrt one a little time ago.

there is some swedish / nor / fin that makes Folkrace events some days in a week they do a post on facebook and you join it when u coment what car u want to drive pretty fun

there's an active group, but I am not sure if there's an active part in autocross racing tough. this community is very active in endurance racing (GTWS). I would say, start a poll and see how many are interested

Folk racing doesn't have much in common with SCCA Solo (read: standard autox) type events, to be honest. I'm actually surprised that the 'classic' sort of autox is so unpopular in LFS given the dedicated tools. I think there might have been a couple of individual events in the past, but certainly nothing consistent or frequent that I've seen (on the forums). I do recall that there was some other person saying he wanted to host something like that, but I haven't a clue if it ever happened. I guess it's difficult for such a culture to grow as people are not capable of waiting for a moment or two for a turn on a public server

Yes, thats what I am looking for is the SCCA Solo style AutoX. I have some AutoX courses in Race 07 that I use for practice, but I figured like you that with the tools on LFS there would be a bigger autox following.

I am using the sims to help me look ahead and not get lost in the cones. In past real life experience my biggest problem is DNF'ing a run because I missed a gate or went on the wrong side of a cone.
