Double exhaust
Hi, this is only a small suggestion,, but i'd really like to see that double exhaust on the XR GT TURBO back like it was in S1

Grtz, Kevin
Been suggested before.

Removed probably to differentiate it from the XRR a bit more, and because the dual exhausts would just weigh more and make the car slower. They won't make the car any more powerful. But having done a search you'll know all this already. Have a nice day.

Also it's just a 2.0t I4...
I4's only need one well matched exhaust pipe and thus, one exhaust tip. If it's a V or flat configuration, then we need at least one exhaust pipe per bank. Otherwise, multiple exhausts are just wastes of space and weight and thus, an illogical choice.
Flat and Vee engines can also make use of a single exhaust, but it all depends on firing order, crank design, desired power and what have you. Some require a separate pipe per bank, but nowhere near always. Just had to make that clear in case people start thinking it's as simple as that.
Of course you could converge 2 banks of a V-12 to 1 MASSIVE header, but why? Practically, the packaging and weight distribution concerns alone make that silly.

Siamesing is actually quite common for reasons that range from better emmsions control to better exhaust sound. The newest Vipers have siamesed pipes that are again diverged to 2 side pipes for better sound. Conclusion? The V-10 still runs 2 headers.
I'm not saying that - I've noticed this about you already, you don't tend to read posts you reply to. You stated originally that Flat and Vee engines need separate pipes, and I just made it a bit more clear that not ALL do. Then you come across with a V10 and a V12 example, where of course it's more likely due to packaging.

Also, bear in mind that the English don't use the term headers as it's very very vague. We tend to use the term exhaust manifold, front pipe, primaries, and that sort of thing. As an American/Australian 'header' can be all of these things it's not really ideal Assuming you mean header to mean manifold, it's fairly likely that the manifold on a V10 car will more that just a small section, but several feet of pipe so as to generate the correct mass flow rates and primary lengths. You might have crossover pipes, and 4 into 2 into 1's over several lengths, which COULD culmulate into a single pipe. As I say, it depends and you didn't make that dependance very clear.
At least you get my point. Fair enough. I just forgot to state that I'm stating practicalities. And yes, I meant Header == Exhaust Manifold. And I meant seperate Manifolds for each bank.

Example: Pajero V6's are 2 manifold designs that are converged to on larger main exit pipe. Again it's just more conveninet packaging for this case.
All cleared up then.

Back on topic - I think it's fairly obvious you ain't gonna be getting community approval for twin exhausts. Whether you get them or not is a matter for Eric, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
For once we agree Tristan.
I'm quite nice really
ok than , we'll c what the devs do in the future
