It probably will just hurt the 500's attendance . I don't see anybody watch the race more than those who would any other race. The exception being those from indianapolis of course.

there will be a new voice on the ESPN on ABC broadcasts next season. ESPN has confirmed that they have released Play-by-Play commentator Marty Reid effective immediately. Allen Bestwick takes over the rest of the Nationwide Series broadcasts for this season. The new Play-by-play commentator for ESPN on ABC's IndyCar broadcasts will be announced at a later date.

Could have been a lot worse, but these type of injuries are likely when a car goes into the catch fencing (Mike Conway for example)

I really hope that sooner rather than latter, motorsport will find the next advancement in catch fencing as to what the SAFER barrier did for concrete walls.

He should be able to drive at the start of next season. Since it is the end of the season it'll be able to heal better than Denny Hamlin let his this season in NASCAR.
