Hi,
This just recently happened to me as a result of losing my old C drive and I just wanted to see if anyone on the dev side is aware of what happens when a user loses their account info.
Let's say you're me and you lose your C drive and only have what LFS gave you in webmail. The sum total information you have after buying an S2 license is :
A username
A receipt number
If you visit the LFS front page and click 'login' - there is no 'failed' message and you are simply dumped back to the news page.
If you visit the forum and click to login - you are given a 'forgot your password?' message with a link to
https://www.lfsforum.net/login.php?do=lostpw
The page at this link says -
If you have forgotten your password (remember you can use your regular LFS web-login here), you can retrieve it via the following page : https://www.lfs.net/?page=loginretrieve
?page=loginretrieve will simply dump the user back to the front page news.
It was only when I visited the irc channel that Amp88 told me the real link to reset your account info is actually
https://www.lfs.net/?page=loginreset
Possibly it might be an idea to link that somewhat more prominently/correctly?
