How to use focus on the vehicle whilst using the freecam ( shift + u ), for videos?

There is some mod for focusing only, but you can make the camera follow the car by clicking it

The camera should be in one place but point to the vehicle.

LFS Record is the thing you are looking for. Though it can't record audio.

I do believe he is aiming manually by clicking on screen and moving the mouse

How do you move so smoothly with the mouse? Mine's all weird.

on the options of Shift + U you can put up to 1s of smoothness, just look bottom left

Another trick is to slow the replay down to 1/2 or 1/4 speed (press F2 to slow down, F3 to speed up), record at the slower speed them speed it back up in your video editing software.

along with the 1/2 or lower speed replay trick, i believe setting the "movement speed" also affects how fast the mouse can pan the camera. try playing with that and seeing if it changes anything.

(movement speed, the slider that changes how fast the camera moves with the arrow keys)
