yes i do, but this is trying to copy the files from the old version of firefox!

Obviously, since there was a cache folder already, after running FF created a new cache folder (Cache(2)).
Copy all files from Cache to Cache(2), should work now.

firefox installation should be at: DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

C:\Documents and Settings\Jakg\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\go22w5fv.default gives me one cahce folder, its the ld one that has two, and whenever i tried to copy anything it says "access denied"

Firefox installation is at:
DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\RANDOM.default
and the cache is at:
DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\RANDOM.default

gulp, im confused, so i copy from the cache one to the cache one of the new one? if so, then it wont work because ive already done it and it didnt make anything appear

EDIT - copied the installation one - access denied

Copy the contents of the old installation folder (not the folder), to the new installation folder, dunno if you need the cache at all.

Why is it giving you access denied?

did that, extensions and some things give me access denied, but at least i have my bookmarks

right, just booted into old windows to get my old firefox, im gonna try grabbing it after copying your advice to notepad, but if that doesnt work ill probs just re-download them

EDIT - Worked fine, so im gonna re-boot into new windows and then see if i can get temp firefox to accept it, if so ill then wipe this HDD, partition it for apps, games and media, then ill put Firefox in properlu and everything will be wonderful!

now all i need to do is disable auto updates from windows so it doesnt keep telling me its off (well well done, i turned it off, now leave me alone!)

yay! well im gonna clear the crap outta firefox (ie delete the 200 million extensions that i dont use) then send you all cookies!
