Starbound
I am, not got very far tho.

Im enjoying it.
I just finished setting up a potato farm inside my ship, can travel around without worrying about food now.

Loving Starbound, I even listen to the soundtrack while playing other games. I've not got very far yet, not even killed the first boss, and I've only visited 3 planets. I've found 2 big villages and a research lab so far, and decked out my ship a little bit.

This was my first home, now it's just my farm.

Just bought it yesterday and played only 2 hours, but it seems it will be a lot of fun.
There's supposedly a charecter wipe coming with the next game balancing patch, I hope I can still keep the stuff inside my ship... it's FULL of precious loot.

Edit: Patch went live, all old charecters and ships wiped.
Bought it as soon as it was on Steam and was doing well before the patch but now...new patch decided to make sure I have to work for my resources. Is it this bad for everyone or did I get a huge middle finger as an (avian) start world?

Poison planet? Check

Lakes either side of my beam location? Yep.

No wood? Yes

Lab with drops that'll kill me? Sure that's there too.

Either way I'm loving it so far, I just want to be able to craft a hazard suit of armor and get some wood to go to a new planet
I had it pretty rough with my first charecter too before this patch. Started on a tiny little first planet with only like 5 trees in it, no NPC villages, no structures or dungeons or anything. Of course it was also the only planet in the whole solar system so I needed lots of fuel just to get out of there. Hard knock life, man.
You can use coal to power the ship, so if you don't have wood just mine coal, get some fuel, and find a new home. I was expecting the character wipe, so I took screenshots of my ship yesterday before the patch...

...I had found a Glitch village, which was really cool because it was all medieval themed, also found a Chef spawner, which meant I had a food shop on my ship. Also something people might not have worked out yet, you can scan decorative objects into your 3D printer so you can buy them any time you want, it can be quite expensive though.
Yeah coal is what I ended up using as I spent the available trees in torches, it just takes a lifetime to collect enough of coal to get out of the solar system (200 fuel IIRC).
I have awful luck

Went to leap on a platform, missed and fell into lava, got out and got attacked by a mob.

On the bright side, I didn't need torches.
Made a new character, but all this space travel has made him go crazy...

It won't even run for me. I click on it in my Steam list and it hits the hard disk like it's doing something but then nothing happens. No error message, no program running in the task manager, nothing.
Interesting. I'll have to see if that works when I'm logged in as admin.

Since my last post, I found a workaround that basically entailed creating a user account and logging in as a user rather than admin. Then it worked.

EDIT: That fixed it. Thanks!
