Prevent screensaver to start while LFS runs in window mode
Hi,

in my opinion it would be cool, if LFS could prevent the screensaver to start and the monitor to switch into powersafemode while LFS is running in window mode.

i think isnt hurt have this...
Or you could just change your screen saver to off while you're playing.
+1. It keeps coming on when i'm doing insim tests whilst washing up the dishes!
i've never had this problem, and recently i changed it so my monitor turns off after 5 minutes, and in the middle of the race (luckily it was KY national and i was going down the straight) and all the sudden my monitor turns off... i cant say i've ever had this problem before
Caught me out in the last Vixen race at Westhill, running in a window and the monitor turned itself off coz the mouse/keyboard hadn't done anything for 15 minutes or so

Would that not require a registry entry?
Screensaver?, you guys are still stuck in the 90's LOL

I don't use them either, I just turn the monitor off if I leave my chair. I know how bad it is to get screen burn on your favourite monitor though, so I can see how some people would be looking for a solution.

I dont think so, although i'm not an expert I only once wrote a screensaver as a joke for an online community (it just put up various silly quotes by forum members), anyway if a registry hook is really necessary to disable it then an alternative is that because mouse is hidden during play (except when you are using it on the connection list view), LFS could move it 1 pixel every now and then. I'm sure there are better ways - but if the mouse is hidden anyway this strikes me as simple and effective.
as opposed to just sorting the screensaver, it would be nice if LFS could somehow convince windows it isn't 'idle'. (which would fix the screensaver issue too) Seems to be determined purely by mouse and keyboard input. I used to run into trouble with a scheduled backup starting because it thought the pc was idle...
