Hello there!

If your PC recognizes the wheel as a controller, you should be able to use the wheel for LfS without problems.

Do you own that wheel already? It might be fine in the beginning, but if you want to get into racing sims more seriously, you might want to upgrade to a better one soon...
I rather advise to stick up with that one than updating new gear, as being a beginner, you will do absolutely fine. Even if getting advanced, it will still be fine to keep it than buying new one. Everyone tells to have a better "sim gear"( a new wheel for example ) for soon. Of course there is better features about it, but all what I think is the matter of taste about new wheel. Still I would stick up with my advise. As just started, you probably just want to reveal the fun spots in LFS in first time. When it gets wearing off, get to the new challenges.

A bit off topic, but as for both LFS and LFS Community, there is benefits and bonuses.

Basically, you can add any controller for LFS, as bbman replied above.

Anyway, welcome to LFS. Have fun and get some practice (and more practice) and start to beat those LFS-Superstars.
Is it this wheel?

It is advertised as working on PC, so as others said it will work in LFS too.

But: If you are thinking about to buy this wheel, you might want to know that it has no force feedback. Like many other cheap wheels it only has vibration. Some things are "matter of taste" but FFB is very basic requirement I think.
Also instead of clamps it is hold by suction cups, that will not hold to table very good.
Of course one has to set some price limit but it is not that cheaper either..for the same price I see Logitech wheels (Driving ForceGT or old black momo) in used decent condition on ebay/amazon. Just my thoughts

That's what I meant with upgrade... FFB is a necessity in my opinion - if you're buying a wheel with only vibration, you might as well use any (half-)modern gamepad...
