So it is offline only and it just crashes on startup. Talk about going from excitement to disappointment...

That did not help but creating an empty folder called rfm in the main folder did. Game seems to work now. Going to do some laps now.

It is kinda nice. At first I had no feel for the car but after some plr file editing it was better. It is a bit annoying that the cars are designed so that you can't see any corners to the left from the cockpit because the a-pillar blocks everything. Not a good thing on interlagos. Moving the seat as front and almost as up as it goes makes you see more of the track though.

Physics wise hard to say. It is a bit those sims where I need to spend more time to learn to feel it (just like I had to do with lfs). At first it feels just numb and floaty and there is generally no feedback when you are braking other than the tires starting to squeel when you lock them. But little by little it starts coming to you.

Also the game doesn't suffer from icy spins. Slides are very controllable. Handles pretty much like such fwd handles. The cars do feel extremely stiff though.

I tried this at launch and quickly uninstalled cus it didn't work. I'll go try again now

It has been patched now I think. Sadly still just offline which at least kills it for me.

Is this based on the same engine as rFactor 1 (like that formula truck and GSC)? I wonder if the telemetry information is the same.
