Hi guys I read through a few of these insim requests and a LOT of the time people want a hell of a lot of stuff for seemingly nothing.

I haven't got a clue as to where to start in regards to writing my own code and don't have the time it would take to learn/compile one.. I get very little if any help if any at all from the 1-2 guys I know who do know about this stuff. the cruise word where I'm from is full of unnecessary politics and endless drama and it grinds on me at times. That said I do love the "cruise" concept and I wish to have something of my own for myself and some friends to enjoy.

I have currently in my possession a basic code that seems to work for the most part for what I need only I really require some help on what should be minor alterations as the guy who I struck a deal with after he got what he wanted from me began to blow cold in the way of help or any further progress. Often I felt frustrated and at a total standstill for days/weeks.

would any of you guys be kind enough to edit my code I have here to suit me a little bit more. I really just require some job locations swapped around/added, some insim messages edited and maybe a few more bits and bobs. This is "child's play" for anyone in "the know" or so I hear. which doesn't help me much at all of course.

Other than what I have mentioned I have no more clue as to any of this stuff. all i know is I have been instructed to download Microsoft visual c# and "do it" in there whatever that maybe? And left in the dark I really have no idea what I'm talking about to be honest.

I don't want something for nothing of course that's never been my way so If anyone could spare me maybe an hour or so of there time we can come to some sort of arrangement. Maybe PM me for more detail's.

The same old advice of "Simply learn how to program." is not really good advice for most people. Myself, and I'm sure many of the other InSim Add-on Devs have done a lot of work to decrease the barrier of entry into getting an InSim instance up and running on any given server, but it's still quite complex for someone who is not in the know.

I would say that PRISM would offer the least amount of work to go from Source Code too Running InSim Instance. What we could do is a video series of how to setup each of the InSim instances, and how to make basic code adjustments. The goal would be teaching a man to fish (eats for a lifetime), vs giving a man a fish (eats for a day).

IF I should get some time in the next 48 hours, I might be able to do that for you, but that's a pretty big if. It should include to be helpful, installation of the runtime environment installation of the InSim instance and any configuration changes that must be made to the LFS config files. From there, it would give short instructions on how to setup a plugin and modify it.

Hello mate. Yeah its good that some people recognise its still far from easy for a complete beginner. I mean You cant be a pilot if you don't know a plane from a pizza! Yes some sort of video tutorial would be so beneficial to guys like myself and believe me I've looked. If there is any way you could help me buddy that would be very helpful and kind of you. Any help at all is better than none...
