How do I record a lap? I will do it on a Multiplayer server too.

Press '2' in game to save the replay, you will have to give it a name.

It will then go into the mpr or spr folder depending on whether is a multiplayer or single player replay.

Or you can press 1 and it'll name the file itself using the track, car and a timestamp.

I had a windows pop up to restart PC thats why I randomly crashed. If you guys want me to do a full lap then I can.

when you save it, the recording stops. im guessing thats what you mean?

I think he means he recieved a microsoft update. 2nd wednesday of the month today. They always start to release them on the 2nd Tuesday.
