Hey ppl! I wanted to ask if any1 here knows how to fix a problem I'm having with Windows Live Messenger. I usually like to log in Appear Offline just to check mail and things and sometimes then appear Online or Busy but the problem is that I can log in ok when I use Appear Offline but when I use the other statuses, Windows Live Messenger is signing in as usual, and then crashes. I've also tried signing in Appear Offline and then change my status but it does the same thing. So, does any1 here know how to fix this?

Reinstall, if it doesnt fix the problem, sit and wait. It's a new version and I've discovered lots of bugs in it. An update will come sooner or later.
sorry to bring this thread back up, but i have problems with msn 7.5, where i would sign in, but then needed to wiat for ages before i could use it as it looked as if the computer had forze, so i upgraded to wln, and im stilll having the same trouble. anyone know whats wrong? 
not sure, i have WLM problems that go away with a new version and then appear again (although since i wiped i havent, touch wood!), so i recommend you uninstall it then delete everything to do with it and download the new version (they relesased a new version but didnt say, if you want to know more about Messenger stuff check www.mess.be )
i did that with 7.5, and it didnt work. although the problem only occured after i was sending a .gif file to my freind (made in pivot), and the electricity went off, turning the computer off not properly.
Haha, yes the pivot gifs are too huge to send over MSN, my computer is used to it now somehow, but the friend I send it to always ends up with a crashed MSN.
(does come in handy though with certain 'friends')
