I've noticed the other day that my "emoticons" (with characters from the japanese language pack) became (sort of) corrupted! I wonder why this is happening. Here are pictures with some of the broken characters:

I know you are using LFSLazy, that's why I'm wondering if these characters appear normal in LFSLazy's chat log. If there are fine there it could possibly indicate some problem with LFS.

The characters are displayed properly in the LFSLazy chat box.

I guess it could be a problem with your LFS or something. Maybe you could do a clean install in a separate folder and see the result.
