Quote :win-win deal like LFS has with MRT & RAC.

what deal is this? im jus curious thats all
Kinda off-topic: Does anyone know if the A1GP car has been put into a game yet? I guess the licensing costs would be too much for LFS though.
I like the Ariel Atom idea. About 160-200 HP version might compete well with the LX6...

Then we might be able to get race versions of Both!

LFS gets cars for free, MRT racing team (or whatever) and RAC car designers gets a platform to test their car in a game and of course free advertisement. That's called "win-win deal" because no money is involved. Kind of same thing with BMW-Sauber too.
i wouldn't mind an atom at all (and i dont doubt any of us would)

@deggis, the only thing that i dont like about that render, is how high off the body is, it just doesn't look right to me at all, bottom is usually really close to the ground (but thats just me being picky)
It's not a render, just a screenshot from LFS Viewer.
is it?.. now i feel kinda dumb lol, i dont remember the horizon being fuzzy like that but.. owell, i haven't used it in so long..
[quote=tristancliffe;190370]The Hawk is NOT a Stratos, it is cheap replica, and as such I could never condone it's inclusion in anything, real or sim based

But if Eric is a Stratos fan (who knows) I can send photos, measurements etc as and when Or Old F3 cars.

agreed m8, but i'd suspect there's more chance of a hawk or heaven forbid a corsa than the real thing and as long as the suspension, weight, power etc match the stratos in the game i suspect we could live with it being called a hawk or anything else for that matter, hell lets call it a strotas or a sotarts (hmm maybe not the later "so tarts "! )

they could get more if they would wanted that...
I can't understand the whole idea of paying for licenced content, especially for smaller brands. It is nought but free advertising for them. It seems that there is a resigned culture of paying for licences, but Scavier have proved that it is not always necessary and that it can be mutually benefical for both parties.

BTW - earlier someone mentioned that licenced cars will mean that no damage model will be allowed ala the GT series on PS2. I think that was Polyphony's lame excuse for not implimenting damage. Have a look at Forza on Xbox. Licenced cars that got damaged.
I would guess that to get damage on anycar, licenced or non-licenced should be easy. If you say got a licence to put a Enzo in LFS, if the model is done acuratly enough, a head on collision depending on G's and stuff would be easy for a dedicated physics engine. I mean, think about it, LFS cars atm dent depending on the force, angle and where the impact takes place, all that i would think would be needed is a part of the car that remains more or less rock solid and other parts dent around the solid structure depending on the three above or break off depending on the force. So really, smashing up a car just get a realistic look is a waste of numerous cars and money.
Thats the sort of thing i was on about. Depending on X, Y, Z the car will do A, B, C. Their's enough reference on the net, like the link you posted, that could be implimented into any car, no need for smashiing any other cars up.

Anly other factor would be that each car will have its own engine (as in motor engine with pistons and head gaskets, not a physics engine) and that might take some time to model and code and stuff, along with other things that would be needed to make any crash look half decent.
Who ever said anything about smashing cars up to create damage models ingame? The damage models on games are nothing near realistic, there's simply too much computation to do realtime.

The excuse is that some manufacturers simply don't want consumers to see their cars smashed up in games.

BTW, yes forza has a damage model, but you still can't roll the cars :-\
