How to cool it or replace? Is it possible?

As long as you don't burn it out completely, accelerating very gently will bring the temperature back down, but it will take a long time before you can shift aggressively again. A pitstop won't fix it either - you'll need to reset your car, or Shift P if you're on a server that doesn't allow reseting.
