FABIO M.G: "Please fix the bug with tires. Hibrids tires are more fast that normal tires in tarmac with GTI. Its is one absurd !!! Live for Speed is the only simulator that have this. I never see one race car with mud/normal tires having better performance in tarmac that one car with real tarmac tires."

True, but I also think a hybrid tire would have more grooves/blocks than a performance "road super" or normal tire. It is just the fact that you are using a dirt/rally tire for normal road racing, and in most cases just to exploit the use of them on the rears of FWD cars. That is what puts people off about this.

Even if it isn't a bug, there has got to be some way to return to norm with using the usual road tires. Sorry if OT.

then if it is not bug of the game, arrange to only use tire of "normal" track because I don't find certain
to use hybrid tire in a highway that doesn't have earth, he/she has a lot of good people, giving up on playing
only for cause that you/they place hybrid tires in the part of he/she brings in asphalt tracks

a suggestion then is not to allow that you make hotlaps upload with different tires, or that blocks in the same game not letting to enter in the track.
before more good pilots give up on playing.

its not a bug, its a feature; those rally tires are made of a softer compound

set an AI with hybrid tires, and another with normal tires, then make them run however many laps, and watch how fast the hybrid tires heat up and start to lose time because since it is made of a softer compound so it sticks to dirt better, and eventually the street tire wins..

also, this has been brought up before

I know that is not bug, if I don't make a mistake I commented, but I only created this topic to give the suggestion of blocking the use of different tires in normal track.
because as this in the topic that you ordered me FÁBIO M.G, that ordered to write the topic in blue, because he gave up on playing the lfs because they are using hybrid tires in the part of he/she brings, and this FÁBIO M.G was the first in the world to walk in 1:31:94 in the old patch, and using normal tire in front and behind, what would be the right in reality, because he/she doesn't have race none in the world that the cars use normal tire in front and rally tire in the wheels of behind.
in real life you can easily go out and get softer compound tires, and thats basically what you do in LFS except.. they are called hybrid tires
Actually in shorter races people will use a very soft compound with cuts into it just to get heat into the tyres. The reason this doesn't happy in any other game because how many games give you an option to change the tyre compounds? None that I can think of.

You'll often see it in damp races in a series where tyre warmers aren't allowed. People who start on slicks can often struggle where as people on a wet tyre will get the heat into the tyre quicker but as the slicks get heat into them they come into there own.

The thing here is my guess these road tyres are just your ordinary hard compound road tyre. So over a short race the Hybrid and it's soft compound will obviously grip better since it is designed to work on a slippery surface.

In my opinion it's realistic and if it puts off some demo racer who is probably never going to buy the game then there lose. It only affects the FWD cars with road tyres over short distances.

Keiran
that they create a softer tire for tarmac, not a soft one for tarmac and earth
nonono.. road_normals are like normal street going tires you'd see being sold on .. brand new cars

supers would be sports tires sold on like bmws and mercedes etc.

you dont want to buy soft tires for driving on the road? theres no point, that just means you'd be spending more money for the softer compound, and be buying tires more often because .. they wear away a LOT faster (and are made to, the more the tire wears off, the more heat expelled, and thats why softer compounds are made, so the ratio between wear and heat even out so you dont land up with tires that get extremely hot)
Just try to compare the performance of your all-season OEMs with a soft compound gravel tyre of similiar size and you'll see why the hybrid is faster than the normals.

IM juts gonna translate what Nuse said.
