Paint.NET is not capable of opening .dds files (that's what you mean I presume) by default.

ok i got the file open but it looks like ill be wasting my time with it if i could figure out on how to get it to do what i want easily then i would of spent hours with it but its making me frustrted just trying to do something so simple illepall
