OK so its time to vote for a track.

Options are SO Long or SO Town

SO Long approximate lap times of 1.40 - 1.42 a lap still not too long a race. approximatly 1 hr 40 - 1 hr 50.

SO Town approximate lap times 1.22 - 1.23 around 1 1/2 hours race. but this is not as interesting as the SO Long.

My personal vote... SO LONG

Also this GP will be on the 3rd September. Topic will go up when this track is selected.

Will you please make the next poll (for the GP after the South City one) on As Club Rev and BL GP Rev? That'd be two well suited tracks.
My vote goes with So Town. I know So Long too well and overtaking there is more violent than difficult. Though the downside of So Town is that it's once again a difficult track that'll cause a lot of havoc.

I've gone for long.

i don't mind which one we race one (i'm a gp vetrain ) but if a were to choose i would say long (more track = more racing)

Spyshagg mentioned a great combo after the race yesterday. AS North Rev, lots of fun, plus the hard braking and bumpy track will make the pitstops and strategies more interesting.
Anyway, I went for SO Long too. Town misses out on the best sequence of corners in South City (after the tight hairpin) and it has a horrible last turn.

i think what the plan is, is to only have gp's on tracks that are 1:30 per lap or there abouts

So LONG, 'cos it's says long in the title. I'm a sucker for punishment!

I don't want to see Aston again for a little while, after the harrowing (it's the only way to put it) race there last time around. AS club is way too short and Blackwood's boring

Kyoto National Is a good 'un but might be too long for some, although the turnout at REV was pretty good and it was an excellent race.

I'd have a go at FE Gold in either direction too.


edit: just done a few laps of both, SO long is the one for the next GP without a doubt.

Long is great in the XFR, done it for the LFS GT and I never got bored of it.

I said Rev, Reversed!
Do BL GP Rev. It isn't boring. It's one of the technically most demanding tracks in LFS and absolutely great for competitive driving. Definitely the best track in LFS by far.

I know you said Reversed and Yes it's much better than normal, but I still don't like it. it's a very forgiving track but I like the nasty ones that bite you if you get it wrong. we've already had 2 GPs of the last 7 at blackwood

Are you actually gonna be racing with us this time Vain? I can't remember ever racing you in a GP.

BTW how many GPs have there been? I know I missed one at westhill i'm not sure about the rest.

We met at Aston Club on the track. On the other GPs we were rather far apart. I'm with the 60 lappers since the Westhill one.

Tried out SO Long in the XFR last night and it's pretty cool. It'll take major powers of concentration as the 2nd sector is just corner after corner and one mistake will put you in the wall. The rest of the lap aint too bad. We should be lapping around the 1:40 mark so that should put the race time at about 1 hour and 3/4s which isn't too bad I suppose - Gag - better get yourself a cushion

me too but i have dropped out of a couple

any1 here have a more than 90% attendance (i do for obvious reasons) and this is counting from demo days

I voted town, because i think long tracks can get boring after a while.
