The online racing simulator
Cheapest setup to get into LFS Racing
Figured I'd make this post here for the beginners wanting to get into more serious racing. This is simply based on my opinion of the best experience per dollar. This is assuming you basically have no computer, or want a dedicated machine for LFS. This is also assuming the new graphics updates don't kill slower computers. This is also a pretty portable setup.

Best monitor for the price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273425440767 HP Pavilion IPS display for $87.99

Some sort of mini PC. There are hundreds of these that will run LFS at low to medium easily: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273177949332 $151.20 3gb ram, 2.2ghz, 64gb storage. PLENTY for a low end sim machine

Keyboard/mouse: https://www.ebay.com/itm/113135286228 $29.99

Wheel. I wouldn't normally recommend this 180 degree wheel, but I have been using it since I started and it is SO CHEAP that it just makes sense. It is force feedback too: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123322897450 these can be had for near $50

LFS S3. Yes. Invest in it. Buy it. It helps the devs and makes your experience better: ~$40

TOTAL COST: $359.18

Now lets think for a second... That alone is $40 cheaper than 4 years of paying for iRacing ALONE. And that's just the software! The hardware to run iRacing is much higher than the PC listed here. For the same price you can buy a full sim rig capable of running LFS S3 FOREVER for around $360.

Enjoy racing on the sim giving the best bang for the buck! Smile
I am not sure if that is a good deal. Definately calling it "a full sim rig" is pushing it a bit.. It is a mediacenter-device built for streaming video that might also run LFS at low settings.

- WLAN only
- Onboard Intel graphics are terrible and not upgradable
- nothing is upgradable or repairable
- only has 2 USB slots (so you can not even connect keyboard, mouse & wheel without an extra USB hub.)
- you also need headphones/speakers (if you also want a microphone for chatting then you need a bluetooth mic because there is no line-in)
- keyboard&mouse can be found cheaper if it does not have to be "gaming keyboard" with lights
I know its pushing it, and most people already have a PC. This is simply a bare minimum method to get more into it. Things such as the keyboard, usb hub, etc are easy finds.

As for the pc itself, that thing could easily run LFS... i ran lfs on a 2gb 1.6ghz atom system just fine. Well enough to do actual racing.
i built my pc for 150$ and it can run gta 5 , since then i upgraded to quad core but am not over 200$ , and for dirt cheap wheel u can use phone which is fine if u ask me and keyboard as pedals,

Nothing can beat a force feedback analog wheel. Feeling the road is super important.

Of corse it cant but am saying if u are just seeing how game works while waiting for wheel or maybe the budget is really low
