The 4th season of VERL is set ready to go and it will be started this weekend in Aston. The tricky Aston North configuration run in reversed direction offers everything between slow hairpins and fast flat out curves,to make things even more fun,it adds a lot of elevation to this mix. Being 5.2km long, this is the longest track for the 2018 schedule, clocking laptimes few seconds under 1 minute 40 at the best. The current signups list features the most from last years best drivers and some well known fast drivers as league newcomers - is this a sign of great competition?
With another 4 rounds after the 1st one,the championship is practically possible for everyone, even for non finishers,so it will be just first sign towards possibe championship outcome. But for those who love stats - both previous winners of Astion Classic Challenge became league champions in that year, will this be repeated this year too?

I'm a mouse driver, and FO8 is lethal to drive. No steering input feeling but pushing right to the limit and staying off deadly kerbs..
Looking forward to (hopefully) make Round 1!
It was a shame about the terrible etiquette in qualifying and hopefully we don't get a repeat of that in the remaining rounds.
I was bamboozled by my tyre wear in the race and I'm kicking myself that I chickened out ultimately losing second place. Well done to Botsi and Adam though for having more faith in their tyres. Looking forward to a close points fight with you guys.
Testing to race distance, and then some, is always super important if you intend to do a no-stop strategy. You find out how much margin you have before tyres pop.
I normally would, but I was limited in the practice I could do leading up to this race. It's been a while since I did any FO8 races where tyre life was marginal.
To my knowledge R3 tyres last very well. They just get cold, which affects handling quite drastically at least on some tracks.
I couln't get the lap together during qualifying and I knew it was going to be a nightmare to pass on that track, so I was pretty sceptic about my chances in the race. However, mistakes from others helped and also managed to pass Yann after following him first 30 laps. Early christmas present from Pete was also welcome
