Round 4

Sunday,28th June
17:30 UTC / 19:30 CET* / 20:30 EET*

* Summer time

Despite having just left turns like round 1 track,4th round again will feature a different track than all other rounds - a triangle shaped oval,just 500 meters long. 2 turns are known to those familiar with Race Green International Raceway (turns 3 and 4),but instead of going the long front straight,the track has a 90° lefthander to turn the course towards original turn 3 again. Setting up car well handling is important here,but making it too oversteery will cause trouble with rear tyres in the 200 laps of this race.

After half of the season situation is heated up - just one point gap between top3,while a total of 9 drivers are within the possible points margin from the series leader. Let's see if this round makes things more clear or shuffles the positions even more up. Also this will be the 2nd and last round in competition for STARL Oval Trophy - G.Peet currently leads Unite by 4 points.

The race at the new triangle shaped course gathered up 8 drivers,unfortunatelly one of them never started,two others started later and after quarter of the race,only half of the attendees were left running. 2 fastest of them had variating gap between them and even few position exchanges during the demanding 200 lap run - Trespasser started just from 2nd row,but found a way past the polesitter already in 3rd lap and held the lead for the most of the remaining 197 laps,setting even the fastest lap of the race. Falcon set the fastest laptime in qualifying and earned a point already in the 1st session he attended this season,but lacked the overall pace to retake and keep the lead - 2nd place finish for the canadian. Standings leader Rony finished 3rd 2 laps behind.

After 4 rounds there are 4 different race winners and championship table is still quite open for many,but only 4 drivers are within the pointscount of 1 round maximum (17 points),while 11 are still eligible for championship title. Rony increased his lead by a single point and is now 2 points ahead,while 3rd position is now 8 points behind - Trespasser actually is closing up as he climbed many positions up. This round was also the 2nd and last round for the small Oval Trophy award - top3 drivers from 1st round did not attend this one,so the 4th place passed them all and claimed the title - one 4th place finish and one 3rd place finish was enough for Rony. There's a new leader in standings for Rookie of the Year award - Trespasser is now 12 points ahead of his teammate G.Peet.

While drivers standings has become a bit more clear,the teams standings is getting more interesting - WCL still leads,but their lead has been cut off from 12 to 3 points over 2nd place RGA and 6 points over TRR in 3rd.

Allthough Finland scored the least points from 4 point scorers in 4th round,it still keeps a solid advantage over closest rivals Latvia - 26 points. Lithuania is 3rd,another 7 points behind.

In 2 weeks 5th round will offer the only original track of this year's schedule - the South City Classic configuration will deffinitelly feel very classic after all these very variating rounds,still - it has that narrow chicane,where a slight lapse of focus can destroy a good race. So despite a very known racetrack,drivers still will have to do their best to avoid failures. 5th from 6 rounds has deffinitelly the gamechanger status - City of Lions 150 will clear out who will be remaining in the battle for the main title in the last round!
