This race featured the 2nd longest track in RTFR history,longest since 39th RTFR. The 9.9km Kyoto Interntional configuration combines 2 standard configurations,creating a lap almost 4 minutes long even for fastest. 8 lap is the repeated smallest lapcount in RTFR history.

Standings leader R.Kardol was the one to beat yesterday and with some struggles early in the race,the dutchman regained lost lead just before half point of the race,pulling away from the competition after the pass for lead. R.Kardol scored full package of achievements from this race - it was his 10th RTFR racewin (he is the 6th driver to reach double figure in this chart),9th pole position,7th fastest lap of the race and 49th top5 finish. Onur was the one,who used front row starters' battle for his benefit - he slipped in the lead after 1st chicane and led first 3 laps (he is the 103rd driver to lead a lap in RTFR races) until he had to concede the charging R.Kardol - 2nd place finish is still his best race result in RTFR,2nd top5 finish. Standings lead chaser and current rating leader Unite could score just 3rd position in both sessions losing to his main rival - 48th top5 finish for him. 4th was Falcon,who repeated his best result of the year and scored his 39th top5 finish and top5 was closed Doni,whos scored his 6th top5 finish.
