y I can't make my engine bigger than 5L but some other mod can more than that?

Engine displacement is dependant from car type - for example I found out that formula cars can have just max 3 liter engines. Test out different car types.

My biggest engine for GT is 5.0, but the Stock Car 03 which is GT class can up to 5.7

Engine maxes out at 12L for “truck”

You may want to try touring car

I'm using the car editor for the first time and I edited/tweaked the engine a bit and saved it.
But where/how does it show up in the LFS sim after that? Is there a tutorial?

I saw a tutorial, but how do I get back from the EDIT ENGINE screen to the 'physical' car and save it?
