Why not have this in LFS?
Now that it seems, planes are road-legal too, we could have one in LFS, what do you think?

or how about this idea \/

Maybe not.

Seems like a good idea, but it be hard to judge the stopping distance in a Boeing 747
No planes in LFS, it's already hard for many racers to cope with the 2 dimensions. You already could get airborne, but you don't want to do that very often

If we get planes, do we get snakes ?

:dunce:

No, wreckers would have another excuse then: "I had a snake in my car (plane )."
"Sorry, it was those motherf***ing snakes in my motherf***ing BF1!"

holy sh*t pretty much sums up that picture
If that 747 pic is a p-chop it looks very well done.
I agree if it is a Photoshop it is done very well but i cant see how that is a real picture.

Planes in lfs would be funny, lag collisions would be even funnier.
lol. that pic is funny. mibi they could have a 747 for s2, and a microlight for demo?
Quote from Greboth :I agree if it is a Photoshop it is done very well but i cant see how that is a real picture.

Nope, it's a pretty bad photoshop even... Both the mirroring and the shadowing of the plane are wrong, they couldn't have made it any worse even if they tried...
Hmm, yeah, guess you're right.
it's way out of proportion too, a 747 is waaaaay bigger than that, it would be significantly wider than the roadway
But you get the point of the pic, don't you

It says on the mirror.. "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR". So it must be real

.. "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR". Then the 747 must be tiny

No it isn't. All piolts know the limits.

And what is it with countries adding that text? Have people not learnt by now?

And CSU, other way round sweetheart. It's close to the car, but because of how wing mirrors work, things seem far away.
I think it's a legal thing, at least here in the US.

Ah, righty then.

This thread reminded me of this.

Isn't it maybe that car companies could be sued if someone changed lane and crashed?
You just gotta love America...
Pretty much, bbman.

If they were to suddenly remove that text, someone could say that he/she thought the mirrors were different and therefore thought the cars were as far away as they appeared, then sue the car company, and probably win.

In fact, I'd be willing to bet the message first got on there in the first place as a result of a lawsuit in the same way that coffee cups now tell you the coffee is hot.
Quote :way that coffee cups now tell you the coffee is hot.

now thats just talking the biscuit completely. doesnt the steam coming out of the top tell you its hot? (not you specificaly)

thats almost as bad as this
