Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I voted town, because i think long tracks can get boring after a while.

Yeah - because there are less back markers he he
Quote from franky500 :any1 here have a more than 90% attendance (i do for obvious reasons) and this is counting from demo days

IIRC, I only missed this FO8 one right after S2 came out. But there were only 4 people racing in it anyway, I think, lol.
Did a 20 lap race on SO Long last night. It's great cos it's completely different from FE Green but still requires pin point accuracy.

Whereas at FE Green if you took too much kerb or ran too wide you ended up on the roof, at SO Long the danger is less obvious but you only have to take too much speed through a corner and you end up in the barrier. You can get away with it a few times but each touch nibbles at your damage. It's easy to end up with a completely knackered Lower wishbone and a total unability to brake in a straight line.

I think, in the end this race will be similar to FE Green. It's all about consistency again. I have a feeling there may be quite a few unscheduled stops on the cards
yeah, good races last night! I narrowly avoided retiring due to spectacular accidents in 2 of the races (3 pit-stops in a 20 lapper doesn't look good for a 60 )

If you can run 1.41s consistantly without bouncing of any walls in the proccess then you'll be in good shape for a podium.

It's a challenge, and I won't say it's gonna be easy, and at around 1h45m it's not exactly a short one either, but not too long to put everybody off.

It's gonna be a good match between XFR and UFR too, they seem pretty even on pace, the UFR is good around the tight bits and the XFR making headway on the straights. although the UFR suffers a bit over the bumps.
hmmm

*calls franky into the ring*

You havent updated the post yet franky!
imo it's all about having a good street racing setup (cuz of all the drain covers) suspension needs to be more soft than for a pure race track setup. it should be fun
there's only so much you can do to minimize the harshness of the bumps. too soft and you'll loose the transient grip needed for the twisty bits (around 1st split, and just after the hairpin) although it's down to personal taste at the end of the day, as long as i'm not actually sitting in the car i don't worry about a bumpy ride, just having the tyres sticking when i want them too
I might entry too, for the first time
IF the SO LONG gets chosed.
good man! you'll enjoy it whatever track is chosen (although the conclusion looks forgone by now)

looking forward to racing you
