Race Green Events - Future plans, announcements, teasers
Hallo,racers!
This is a thread where Race Green Events will inform you about it's future plans, announce news and post some teasers before official announcement. Since the main auditory is the community - input from you, racers,is more than welcome!
As some of you already know,RGE plans to host it's first endurance event. Even if we already have the 3 hours long Summer 1000 in our history,it still was different kind of event.
Currently aimed at early april (around midpoint between AWS and STARL seasons) we'll host a 300 kilometer race on the 12km long racetrack layout out solely on support roads of Westhill. Here's 1 lap preview of the v0.1 version of planned course - obviously a little polishing required (curbs to make the sidewalk curbs less dangerous, better track marking or anything else to make track better). Track as you can see is quite difficult, partially very narrow and requires good sight forward.
Video kindly made by Mandula.
I hope this happens, I really like the idea of an endurance race on small roads. IMO the track could lose a few chicanes, but still a pretty interesting project.
As a matter of fact this event has been entered in calendar already - in 5th april. Now I just need to polish the track a little (grid is also missing),figure out best BoP (currently aiming for 3% for FXO,leaving others unrestricted) and around mid-march or so the info should be ready to post.
Regarding chicanes - backstretch really needs them, otherwise that would be a quite deadly curved straight, where plenty of crashes will wait to happen. Also of course I wanted to use as much of the roads as possible - track alone is meant to be an endurance factor.
Race Green Events invites racers to 1st public test of the Westschleife layout!
The layout now tested in private enough to assume it's ready for public testing - there might still be some upgrades required, that's where you come in - to test the track and suggest improvements. The configuration itself is not planned to chance, but more track markings might be needed from other racing perspectives than our own. Also - maybe there are some shortcuts possible,if so - don't hesitate to notify us about that! Video preview of the configuration is few posts above, otherwise follow the markings to get the track to know first!
EDIT: Server does not enforce car restrictions, but for the actual event a 3% air restriction is planned to balance FXO's performance - this is also a subject to test!
* public cars testing on last year's layout is already in progress, visit our Discord server's Westschleife-Event channel and resd pinned messages for cars list (30+ cars balanced around LFS TBO class) and server info!
Is there way to download this 2022 layout to give it a few laps? (found that the server is online with the current layout, Race Green Events, password is the usual) Also, the future event (RGE's next big event - 300km of Westhill 2022), do we have a final agreement on the restrictions for each car? Only FXO will be restricted? Thanks
Edit - Just stumble upon this on you discord server, thanks
