These cars were definitely much faster than the modern supercars, with greater driving pleasure in comparison to the likes of lightweight British sportscars, and higher pitched engine tones than Italian V12s. They were also some of the most eco-friendly things on the planet. The XR_900 sports a Western Mechanics and Electronics 9.0L V6 that is, perhaps, more appropriately used by hauling trucks. But never mind, it suits the purpose very well. This, coupled with a smooth-changing 2spd automatic transmission, would land the car to a staggering maximum speed of 200 km per hour on the Blackwood straight. The FF layout ensures that the car is some of the sportiest and most enjoyable for driving. In the tradition of great American cruisers, the XR_900 also bears the newest technologies, with a small electronic display of car-computer at the lower-right corner of the dashboard. In a tone lacking the levity of those descriptions above, the XR_900 is seriously a great machine for doing tafheet (Arab drifting), and turns through the corners quickly due to the large torque the engine provides.
