Event to be held on Saturday 26th August @ AS Club with the FOX

Server will be [SR]::Game-Serve.co.uk:

The password will be given out to all entrants the day of the event

Qualifying will begin @ 18:00 UTC, and will be undertaken with the use of superpole (Each driver will get 1 outlap, and 1 fast lap on their own)

The race is a TT, meaning it will last for 1 hour, not a specified amount of laps!

We would like all entrants to use our Ventrillo server as this will enable easier communication to all drivers before and during the race, however this is optional!

I tried driving the FOX the other day and realised it really does not turn in as well as I thought it did LOL (You know what I mean ! )

But I really would like to make the event, as part of the build up to the OWRL championship 2 weeks after it !!!

Well, if this is a success, probably even if it isn't, we'll be holding more FOX events, so will progess onto different tracks, will be a good warmup for OWRL!

Hey thor! Unfortunately its the same day, as the 2nd owrl pre season race.... I would have participated.....
FPR is planning to do warm-up races for the owrl-season-races just wanted to tell you, we will begin next wednesday 18:00 UTC, so if [SR] any SR is intersted....

This is a one off event yes, we hope to do more after, but this is just a test baby!

[SR]Thor claims victory in the teams first ever event!

Only 8 competitors entered, only 6 started, but those 6 were good racers and enjoyed the race (For the most part!)

[SR] Turkey claimed pole in qualifying after being equal with [SR]Thor for most of the session, eventually claiming pole by 0.01 seconds...

The race saw [SR] Turkey lead the first 7 laps, with [SR]Thor closely behind, after [SR]Thor made his move up the inside of turn 1, [SR] Turkey ran onto grass on the exit loosing momentum and sight of [SR]Thor who never looked back, continually putting in quick laps, eventually setting the fastest lap of the race and taking the win. As pictures on the website will show, several crashes put [SR]Missing and [SR] Tongey out of contention for the race.

In a surprise tactic, NigelY didn't pit, doing the entire hour on a singler set of tyres and max fuel, as [SR]Missing and [SR]Tongey found out was difficult, both suffering punctures contibuting to spins....

The final result:

It was a good race and that third would have been mine but I outbraked myself and spun, add to that my brake pedal randomly coming on and the fact that I pitted about 5 minutes too early. It wasn't the best race for me but it was one to remember, my first race which lasted over 20 laps and pretty much my first scheduled race

When are the pics going to be on the website?

Good race, only problem for me was i was advised to change my tyres 1 min before race to R2's. I have never used them before so couldn't understand why I was so slow. At least half a second down every lap. Kept thinking it was my driving so was getting very frustrated. I have since learnt that my R1's would have lasted until pit so shouldn't have changed. Will know better next time. Still, second for my first ever proper race. Good race THOR.
