2008 Dodge Challenger
Hmmm, I am glad to see that it is a big step up from their "Charger" recreation. Finally they follow along and make a proper version that looks like the classic.
Looks nice, probably still contains more "barn-door" engineering than any new car should though

Dan,
Very Nice. Bet it's got a great rumble.
ooh yeah! looks nice, wonder how many miles it does to a gallon or litre as we say here...

wasnt the only one then who thought it looked quite similar to the Ford Mustang then..
I quite like it, but I hope one day soon manufacturers get past this obsession with putting bigger and bigger wheels on cars. Those things just look wrong.
uhhhh.. this is old news lol, anyways its not a concept anymore, they are going to produce it
I agree with some of that..it is smooth..but it's no Firebomb...still the first car I'd hunt down after winning Dough.

I hope dodge keeps it up and brings back the toys of my youth like the DART GXT or maybe the 340 Duster,in an electric version of course.

As long as they don't "Butcher This " in some babyboomer Revamp.

The Car Dreams are made of.

I agree with your point of " they look stupid" on that car. A nice pair of RedLines like the ORG had would have looked so much better....leave the large tires to limos and SUVs.
this is just a question to put it out there atom, but why do you make a new post every seperate person you talk to?
Post count....

@AtomAnt: Have you seen the Camaro concept?
It looks quite good, but somehow I get the feeling of a riced older challenger when I look at it. Maybe it's just me, but it looks kinda "too sleak"
The ideoligy behind the large wheels is basic proportions. Many designers believe there is a perfect proportion in wheel size as related to the height of the hood/trunk and overall height of the vehicle. The designer in question here made the wheels a little big, yes, but that is where this 'big-wheel' phenomenon comes from. It also makes it easier for some jerk-off rap "artist" to put 22s on his chromed car...

Anyways.. I quite like the new Challenger; I have ever since the first spy shots were leaked a year or two ago. This is what the Charger should have been like. I still can't believe Dodge put 4 doors on the thing...

I've seen a bit of it on the news, but nothing really good so far.
lol get motortrend or car and driver

(hey.. this goes to everyone, if you buy magazines off ebay, you can get the prices REALLY cheap since you get it right from the source, rather than through some other company that makes you pay like 100$ a year for a magazine)

I agree with like, everything you said.

That 4-door Charger was the worst idea. The 300 and the Magnum was enough. They had a nice 2-door Charger
concept, but for some reason, they thought of families with dads who had one 'back in the days' and needed the
extra doors so the wife would agree to sign that check, i assume.

Ahhh, but the Challenger. They should have done this car first. I love this design. It's almost perfect. It manages
to look the same as the old one while being totally different. A bit like that Murcielago has hints of the Countach in it.

Yeah me too

In real life, my experience with Dodge/Chrysler has been hit or miss. They were either totally great vehicles or they were complete lemons.
But probably the best car I have EVER driven was a 1963 Chysler Imperial.
It had white walls, chrome, black convertible with a 383 with two 4bbls in it.
