After more than a year of mods being available in LFS it was time to use the most raced mod of LFS - the Prototype 2,which has circled almost as many laps (86k) online as 3 following mod cars (90k total). Even if this car was previously used in the testing version RTFR-CCCC,this week it had a proper debuth in the series. But adding an endurance car into sprint racing didn't went really well - lap one alone was plagued with multiple incidents, where many underestimated car's characteristics and many were just involved into incidents without option to avoid. With 38 drivers in qualifying, this was the most attended RTFR race since 2022 season 1 finale (280th RTFR),however only 33 cars were standing on grid - still the biggest seen LMP2 type car grid for many of us.
During pre-race practice and qualifying there was a distinct fastest driver on track - the 2022 season 1 winner joined this time under name of V.Lakūnas and set the fastest laptime in qualifying session, scoring his 11th pole posiion. However he left early without intention to take his earned grid spot. That left Fatal on top grid spot for the race and he used it fully - the finn led all 19 laps seeing not much trouble to score his 3rd RTFR race win,he is now the 30th driver to score 3 or more race wins here. He also set the fastest lap of the race - that's also his 3rd,while his top5 finish was his 18th. R.Kardol Was the only closer rival to winner as he finished 2nd just 5 seconds apart from winner, that's his 69th top5 finish, which means he has caught his teammate Unite once again to tie for 2nd most top5 finishes. Current AWS standings leader A.Valta finished 3rd to score his 13th top5 finish, followed by Onur in 4th position, who scored his6th top5 finish. Number closed the top5 to make an FM member on each end of it - that's just his 2nd top5 finish in RTFR.
