When driving with the pit limiter on, your car will be a couple mph below the limit. I was driving the BF1 where this is very obvious, instead of holding me at 50, I was down at 47-48. I see no reason why this is like this, it certainly isn't realistic and all other sims get this right. It's been like this for as long as I can remember, and for some reason it's not been improved.

It is realistic and other sims exhibit this same behaviour.
Does it really matter what is the actual pit lane speed limit, as long as it's exactly the same for everyone?

This is in reality a problem, for example in 24h races like Leman, where you could have as long as 4h driving with a speed limit under a safety car, due to yellow flags and track repairs for example. There even the tiniest differences in each car's speed controller add up such that some cars become faster. However, it is not allowed to pass under the yellow flag anyway.

You can exploit it by turning off the limiter and seting the first gear so it reaches the pit speed limit exactly. But I guess you only gain a few meters over the length of the pit lane.
Haha, yes, you are absolutely right on that one Smile

edit: I even saw some smartasses that set 1st gear ratio such that they had +1kmh over the pit lane speed limit and got away with it.

That makes sense though as wheel speed can differ to "actual speed"

What real cars and sims do this? I haven't seen any. Maybe it's realistic behaviour, fair enough if it were .5mph off the speed limit, but not 3 mph...
