After practice and qualifying drivers should be aware that car with road tyres and low downforce cannot keep very tight line in turn 3,therefor should leave more space between apron and himself for car on inside compared to cars like FBM or FOX. There was no car on outside,so there was no reason to keep such tight line, therefor the contact happened at your own fault.
Oval racing has always that element of unpredictibility,as with cars near around at high speeds, there is not much room of error. Despite just 150 horsepower and low weight, the Formula Skippy turned out to be quite a challenge around the high speed oval as it does not feature slick tyres. That led to difficult handling in the famous Kyoto oval's turn 3 and also drivers could not avoid incidents ahead so quickly. A total of 4 RTFR races before this one featured 4 different leaders - this record was smashed this week and the most recent race had 7 different race leaders, however 3 of them retired.
With all the LFS experience,it was still the 1st ever RTFR race for Dennis, who started in this event perfectly - by scoring the pole position, however his race was just 15 laps long, from which he led 3 laps,as he retired after mistake on lap 16. A.Valta won his 1st RTFR XL race on january this year by leading just a single lap, this week he repeated that - he was on chase group whole race long and crossed the finish line in race lead only on final lap, finishing just 0.1 seconds ahead of competition to score his 6th RTFR race win. It was also the 18th top5 finish for the standings 3rd place driver. The current standings leader led 16 of last 21 laps, still it was not enough to score another win and Gábor had to settle for 2nd place finish being in the middle in what seems to be one of the closest top3 finishes in RTFR history (there is no official collected data),it was his 44th top5 finish. Adam led an RTFR race for the 1st time ever on lap 35,but could not keep it until finish line and with just 0.23 seconds gap to race winner he finished 3rd,which is still his best finish in RTFR,improving by a single position and adding 3rd top5 finish to his account. Unite led 3 laps in the opening 1/3 of the race, but lost several positions to finish just 4th,scoring his 70th top5 finish, however he set the fastest lap of the race (and whole event) to score his 25th such achievement - just 3 less than the leading driver in this chart. Another RTFR debutant under a joke name finished 5th,being the only driver in top5 without lead laps.
