From old classic with new twist RTFR this week went to new classic with same old LFS's base car - the 140 horsepower XRG was run in the 1st high quality racetrack of LFS. As always the relativelly slow car on decently fast track produced some pack racing, creating plenty of action on track as you can see on the broadcast recording. This race brought an end to a single driver domination, which lasted actually whole RTFR 2023 season 2 - after 4 races there are now 2 different race winners.
The honors were taken by the GTi car specialist Mantas, who was fastest whole day long - first he scored his first ever pole position in RTFR (he has already 3 of those in the longer version RTFR XL however),even if with smaller gap than in qualifying,in the race he also set the fastest lap of the race, which is also his first ever in RTFR,and after leading all 16 laps the lithuanian crossed the finish line to score his 2nd RTFR race win, becoming the 43rd driver with multiple race wins in the series, additionally rounding up his top5 count to 10. The owner of the alive 3 races winning streak Gábor could only follow the race leader and hope for some luck to keep the winning streak alive, but after 16 laps chase he saw his streak end with his own eyes from 7 seconds worth of distance, the 2nd place finish is the hungarian's 51st top5 finish. Despite trying hard in early race phase,Unite could not find way pass his teammate and eventually lost some ground to him,3rd place finish for the finn is his 73rd top5 finish. Ric98 is the highest finisher between those who changed position between start and finish - with a gain of 1 position the brazilian finished 4th to score his best ever result in RTFR,3rd top5 finish for him. Twincam gained even more positions to finish 5th,which is his 4th top5 finish - this made yet another 5 nations top5,which is becoming a trend latelly.
