i have a problem with the game, in menus the effects sounds good but in race the game sounds like a distorted and very saturated sound sounds from time to time Also nothing else sounds, just that sound and then not the car or anything anyone have a solution?

Same problem. I played firstly with no problems. Once I turned off my PC and came back the next day the sound for the game was gone.

Sometimes things gets restored to their default values after windows updates, to make sure they're correct, press WinKey+R and type ,,mmsys.cpl" into it. Upon clicking enter, make sure the proper device is selected as default, and if so, check it's properties -> advanced tab, whereby it lists avilible modes. Some might be broken. You can also try to uncheck some enhancment options in there.

In the LFS itself, go to settings -> misc tab: there you can try to largen the sound lag slider. Higher values might be more stable.

If problem still occurs, press WinKey+R again and type there ,,dxdiag" this time. There can be bunch of tabs related with audio I/O, make sure to send us the screenshots from those. To make screenshot on windows system, press WinKey+PrintSc. Than locate the saveings by pressing WinKey+R: ,,%USERPROFILE%\Pictures\Screenshots".
