The short 1.2 kilometer 4 turn raceway was not really crowd favourite as many complained about the selected combo, however everyone has to agree - the short track does produce intense racing as with 30+ drivers it is very crowded and noone will feel left alone on track. Racing was spread in "multiple levels" as drivers on different laps had their battles with direct rivals while needing also to deal with drivers either lap ahead or lap behind or sometimes even both at same time. Unfortunatelly the event host was so slow in his test run,he misjudged possible race pace - normally RTFR races are 30 minutes + 1 lap long, however this was not the case yesterday as race should have been 56 laps long to fill the requirement.
After winning 4 races in row Gábor retired from the chance to win the 5th one and took 3 race break from RTFR,yesterday he returned and scored yet another clean sweep - the pole position was his 24th,in race he led all 55 laps to break the 600 laps led mark all time in RTFR (still 2nd most),the fastest lap of the race was his 27th,the race win started his 4th decade of wins as it was his 31st and additionally he scored his 57th top5. The winner of the latest RTFR XL race Zesty finished 2nd with just over 1/4 of track length gap to race winner, scoring his 7th top5 finish - the 3rd place in qualifying was a repeat of his previous best performance. Dark made his 2nd RTFR appearance, improving his previous qualifying position by 1 position and also finished an RTFR race for the 1st time by taking the lowest step on the virtual podium. M had no arguments in this race to keep his winning streak alive - despite starting from front row,he could not keep up the pace through the intense race and finished 17 seconds (effectivelly more than half a lap) behind winner in 4th position to score his 16th top5 finish. Another brazilian closed the top5 - Sixmoon made his RTFR debuth and could celebrate it with a top5 finish.

Next week it's turn for the longer RTFR version - the 86th RTFR XL will be run in Westhill International reversed with the PROTECH 92 GT3,making the 2nd appearance of a GT3 car between both RTFR versions this year. The previous try with other GT3 car made itself badly famous so next week can only be better, additionally racers should be more conservative in first laps as the race is more than twice as long. In 2 weeks normal version of RTFR will return with a slower car on longer circuit - which and where you can find out when watching broadcast recording of this race. But the next RGE race is already this sunday - AWS season is closing to it's deciding phase, everyone is welcome to be part of it,taking the challenge of Westhill Street Cup,where RB4 will be raced on a custom support roads based track in Westhill - info and signups in AWS forum thread.
