Racing Radio Launch
Good afternoon ladies, gents and racers of all ages

since the ZWR Radio thread has turned into an all out flame war i'v moved this thread here.

Racing Radio was launched eariler today to the tune of 12:00noon BST (Brittish Summer Time)
#2 - CSU1
Where's those little piggys?
The third thread, and still I cant figure out how to tune in. Is this station running at the moment?
haha CSU.

Anyway wish you luck on your new radio station bigj.
actually 1st...new radio station new thread...new server

you'll have to wait till i get the server bugs sorted and then i'll give you all the info you need to tune in...

i'v been up since 8 this morning trying to get this sorted its now 1600 and its still playing silly sods so im not best pleased at the moment
Is there a broadcast delay? just wondering as it'd be fun to spectate/race at the same time as listening (if the extra bandwidth wouldn't screw the ping anyway)
I've noticed last time I was listening when they were ZWR that there is a 2 minute delay or so.

Ahh yeah I'd expect something around that, still, good if you can't get into the server or are busy doing other things
Yeah I have to agree with you.
there will always be a time delay depending on where in the world you are compaired to me and which way the server (which is in america) decides to comunicate...you know my stream could go from scotland to russia to germany to england to ohio to the server or it could go to the server...(which is unlikly to happen) then it depends how the server decides to sent the info to you i could go litterally half way around the world before you hear it...

thats the way of the internet lol

absolutely what I thought when I saw this thread! providing a link in the first post of the thread would be too easy I guess...

By the sounds of it he hasn't got it running without any bugs yet so there isn't a feed to listen to yet
you are correct my friend
i'v put the link in my sig because the website isnt up yet and its really annoying me at the moment so im off to find a random room to go comment on

we'll see you soon
Becky, right, you see his sig. It's in there now.
Hmmm, after a while it says [buffer 0%] and stays there but i have to click play again and its fine.

Quote from bigj6230 :and i will say that the station will be ready soon at clydeside designs but first i need to make sure that everything is set first

bigj, please.. stop creating new threads for the same news. You get us all excited about the prospects of tuning in to a cool LFS radio station, only to find out that it's pure spam and there's still nothing to listen to. Be fair to us.. you get us all hyped and then dash our hopes. Have a heart, and stop creating new threads for the same thing!
hence why i said delete the zwr radio thread...so this is the only thread...on it and it is a cool new radio station... but server problems have hampered the first days running

Ahh righto. Sorry, I missed that in the old thread. Done
So to listen I need Team Speak yes?
Nope, all you need is winamp to listen.
I dont have that either! oh well it can wait until i'm at home on a PC then as I dont think there's a Mac alternative.
shoutcast works on the following media players :

- Winamp (inwhich it was built for which is mac friendly)
- Windows Media Player (windows default)
- Real Media Player
- Quicktime Media Player

shoutcast pretty much works on all mediaplayers if they have an "open URL" feature all you need to do it copy the url in my signature and paste it into the text box and delete listen.pls which is at the end of my url.

well i just tried "http://193.164.132.178:8072/" in XMPlay (which has an open URL feature, and it says

Connection Error
ICY 401 Service Unavailable
