So authentic. :')

that's a shame, sadly gradients dont translate well when converting from png to dds. you could try a similar effect using dark and very dark points, altough it will probably not be as effective as what you tried here. this wouldve looked great i imagine without the compression.

Yes, I use per vertex shading in some places, but it is not what I wanted for the interior. Fortunately, my second test went good. Problem was with the alpha channel. Combining textured layer + overlay shading does not work well. However the reversed approach works. A grayscale shading layer + overlay repeated texture seems to be a good way how to bake an ambient occlusion into the mod Smile

Progress: reworked interior texturing with the first working version of ambient occlusion combined with repeated patterns

Progress: building more textures. Added logos, reworked taillights, finished interior shading and started with dashboard textures.

Progress: texture and shading detailing. Approximated light distribution in rear lamps and front fog lights using normal tweaks. Added shaded bumpers and fully customizable numberplates. Created a special metallic skin to support more factory colors (such as "ice blue" in the picture). Still working on some difficulties with a dashboard.

Great progress!
Thanks Smile

Progress: finished textures, default skins, shading and dashboard lighting. Created proper LOD2 and LOD3. The mod is visually finished. Skins include basic color with old CZ numberplates, metallic color with old UK numberplates and my shark-mouthed car with old SK numberplates. Now I have to create a proper animation and send the car to Škoda for a review.

amazing shading
top job again !
Thanks for support Smile

Progress: added a steering animation and fixed a damping bug. The stock version currently drives similarly to what I remeber and keeps lifting an inner rear wheel up in the air during sharp turns. Currently waiting for an approval from Škoda to publish the mod.

Started working on a Kit Car version. It looks like the FIA historic database does not contain enough data to reproduce the car correctly so I have asked for a help from a car museum to get a more detailed specification.

top notch
Today I have obtained an approval from Škoda Auto and therefore a stock licensed Felicia is now available for a public review: https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/2090451#post2090451

To be honest, if I knew how difficult and time-consuming will be the creation process of this one, I would never start with it. Fortunately I did not know and looks like my old car is finally virtually resurrected and a licensed Kit Car is on the way Big grin
Bardzo dobra robota!

I don't think you should think like that. Of course, a job that requires a lot of effort and care will be tiring. To use this tool, I check the site and game every day to see if it is available. Nod
I used it my master and it is amazing. I'm playing at 94 degrees fov, it's easy to move the drive setting forward, but frankly I don't want to change the fov setting to move it back. Is there a chance for you to move your seat position back? Tilt
Edit: The vehicle is so beautiful that I can't stop myself from watching the indicators. At first impression, the driving position seemed close, but I got used to it.
Thanks everyone for support Smile

Progress: added a more accurate rally wheels and started working on a safety frame. Removed stock interior parts and now it is full of holes. Looks like the Kit Car is much more fun to drive than my previous works. However, still missing some important technical data (even a car museum does not have it unfortunately).

Hello, there is something like this in the vehicle. Since the engine is not powerful, the reverse gear is too large and reverse gear is problematic. For example, if the reverse gear ratio is 3.0, if you set it to around 3.5, it will move in reverse gear more easily.
Quote from seksen :Hello, there is something like this in the vehicle. Since the engine is not...

The stock mod is based on a car with 1.3 135M engine. According to Škoda repair manuals, there were two compatible gearboxes 10S and 14SK with a 3.833 final drive ratio. Unfortunately, I was not able to find out, which gearbox was in my car despite VIN. The mod currently uses the shorter one (14SK) which is a more suitable option for LFS. If you are interested, here are ratios of the alternative gearbox (10S):
I 3.308
II 1.913
III 1.267
IV 0.927
V 0.717

However, it does not solve your problem, because the both gearboxes have the exactly same reverse gear ratio (2.923). It looks like IRL Felicias had longer reverse than the first. If you would like a better acceleration (and still have realistic specs), I would suggest to use the default gearbox with a 4.118 final drive ratio. Such gearbox was used with the more powerful 1.3 136M engine.

Can't you measure it somehow? For example try 1st-5th gear 2500rpm on your real car and adjust it to
lfs to be the same kmh

Sadly no. This mod is a tribute to the car, which I have failed to save. It was scrapped a long time ago. Unfortunately, sometimes there are things with higher priority, than saving an old car. I regret that, but it was a rational choice back in the day Frown

On the other hand, now it can be enjoyed by people from the whole world, which is a good tribute IMO.
Thanks everyone for support, did not expect such fast approval Big grin

Progress: Working on a Kit Car interior. Reworking the fifth door of the stock version because I am not satisfied with its shading (that line about the logo is too smooth in the current version). According to further research I have those gear ratios right, the IRL car had the 14SK gearbox. Have written down and shared the graphic tips in the following thread: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/108309-Share-your-modding-tips-and-tricks

The Felicia model you created is incredibly realistic and clearly made with great passion. I am truly impressed by your work. Although I am not an LFS player, I own a Skoda Felicia that I inherited from my grandfather. My childhood was filled with memories of this car, and now I want to restore it and continue using it for many more years.

I would like to make some changes to its exterior design, so I have been searching for a detailed 3D model of this Felicia [Felicia I (791)] on the internet. However, I have not found any model as detailed as yours. If it would not be too much trouble, could you please share the Blender model with me? I would be extremely grateful.

I am sorry, but I cannot share my 3D model. It is a content licensed by Škoda Auto and it must not be used outside of the Live for Speed simulator. It took time and work to get the license and I do not want to loose it. Would suggest to modify one of the available facelifted 3D models.
Hello stuchlo!

I own Skoda Felicia from 1998 GLX, but it's a facelift and with 1.6 engine Smile Interior in before lift and facelift was almost the same so maybe it'll help You with Your awesome work!
If You want to know something let me tell and I'll try to answer Smile

Skoda Felicia is my favourite car and I'm glad that You created such realistic model to the game... thank You!
