SERVER Race Green Events

Muito Bom!

After two very eventful races in Westhill and Blackwood, The RETRO Paddock flies to Brazil for the third round of the season: it's gonna be an hot, action packed and maybe decisive round for the championship.

Very little room for mistakes: tight, technical sections, ultra fast sections and even a jump!!

This circuit have it all, and will split the man from the boys: are you ready for Round 3 of RETRO CUP? Cool

CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLES HEATING UP

Two races in, and the championship battle is already heating up in most of the classes.
In Prototypes, ZFRL Thehemuli is leading the standings by just 5 points over Mazdarati: the two of them are building a little gap over the two RG Drivers, Lorenzo and Rony, but it's still very close, with Rony being just 18 points from the lead.

In the GTPRO class, thanks to his victory in Blackwood, B2R Rejekt jumped in front of everybody in the standings.
P2 provisional for [SQUID] SIMOX, who has just 1 points advantage over the P3 of RG^NOSLE.
S1DUS*GáboR is stuck in P4, after missing last race.

In the Road Class, B2R Stiefla jumped ahead of the Porsche Whisperer RG^M@CI3k after winning in Blackwood in dominant fashion.
SGR Madjester is in P3, just ahead of S.Martin: little bit further behind is [PM] Jam 616

FERN BAY RETRO, A COMPLETE CHALLENGE!

This track offers quite a complete challenge for the driver, as you'll find all kind of corners and speeds in it.
From the chicanes to the fast bends, and also a scary jump before Turn 1.

Faster cars could be forced to lift a little bit there to avoid excessive jumping, and this could also be an element in the race: who's willing to take more risks?

As always, the Track have been decorated with CUSTOM SPONSORS, refleting Brazil and vintage racing era.
Expecially IF YOU'RE STREAMING, i'd reccomend to install them, so you have a much more immersive visual experience!

Installation: just save the sponsors files attached below and put them inside your /LFS/data/pic directory, replacing the existing ones.
Be sure to save the original files before replacing them!

PROTOTYPES

Another track, another win! MAZDARATI is on a a streak!!
Second win in a row for the dutch legend: driving his iconic Martini-sponsored WessexR74Sp, Mazdarati managed to overtake his main title rival, ZFRL Thehemuli, and launch himself into a solitary domination in Fern Bay Retro!

Thehemuli tried his best to hold back Mazdarati's offensive in the first phase of the race, but the nature of the track made life very difficult for the finn, driving the McLarry, who had to give up his race winning hopes in Lap 5, when Mazdarati launched on the inside of the corner after the chicane!

It was another glorious run from Mazdarati who's now the new leader of the championship!

It's third place again for RG^Rony, driving the "Green Dinosaur" Mclarry.
The RG legend, current Prototype champion, is consistent on point scoring but still have to show the speed to challenge for the title this season.
But it's still a podium, even though we're sure Rony is planning his great comeback for the second half of the season!

From hero to zero for RG^LORENZO: driving a custom Senna decorated BETA11F12, the Race Green driver managed to beat everyone in qualifying, taking Pole Position ahead of Mazdarati!
Race was a different story tho, as the italian clipped a tyre in the first chicane, upsetting the car balance: that threw him into the wall hard in the following section, ruining his race.

The race got worse later on, with a technical issue, that made him loose laps of racing.

GT PRO

GTPRO class was literally action packed from lap 1 to the very last corner of the race!
And i mean it... literally!

Racing for the first time this season, [WCL] Arska took a stunning pole position, but since the very first 100 meters of the race it was clear that this was set to be a group race!
The pack, led by Arska flew over the opening jump 3-4 wide: RG^NOSLE and B2R TwinCam saw a gap and jumped in the front of the field by Turn 2, while /SRP/ Master was smashing on the outside barriers.

TwinCam overtook NOSLE at the exit of the first chicane: B2R Rejekt tried to take advantage of the situation and attacked Nosle too, but the Race Green Driver managed to hold off the championship leader and flew away in the hunt of TwinCam.

Poleman [WCL] Arska bounced back from a bad start of the race and caught back NOSLE: the two started a fight for P2, as TwinCam was trying to break away at the front.

At lap 28, things changed: TwinCam decided to pit for fresh rubber, but NOSLE stayed out, taking the lead.
TwinCam started pushing with every inch of his capabilities and take back NOSLE with a few laps to go.

The two started a tense and long battle: TwinCam tried to look for a gap but NOSLE defended well: TwinCam even spun in lap 31 trying to overtake on the outside, but was able to catch back the spin and limit the time loss.

He once again catched NOSLE with one lap to go: it was a battle to the last corner.
Coming fast from the last chicane, TwinCam tried a desperate move on the inside of the last corner, touching Nosle rear and sending him wide.

TwinCam took the chequered flag first, but the Race Green pit-crew was furious at the Born To Race Driver: there was tension between the two teams and drivers post-race!

At the end of the day the stewards decided that TwinCam's move was a bit too audacious: 1 place drop, and victory to RG^NOSLE, first of the season!!

Behind, [SQUID] SIMOX managed to overtake [WCL] Arska for third place by avoiding doing a pit-stop for fresh rubber!

/SRP/ Master completed the top five, falling a bit back despite a promising qualifying and start of the race!

Troubled race for the former championship leader B2R Rejekt, finishing P7 and falling behind NOSLE in the championship standings!

TOURING CLASS

No entries this race means the class is officially cancelled ahead of the second half of the season!

ROAD CLASS

Pole Position went to...a pole..RG^M@Ci3k of Race Green, in his iconic Porsche, was looking good for another strong performance ahead of the race.

Since the start, tho, things played out differently: B2R Stiefla got a perfect start in his AM Phoenix and jumped at the front of the field, while SGR Madjester managed to overtake M@Ci3k in the iconic Hill section!

The Race Green ace managed to pass back Madjester in sector one the following lap, and closed the gap again to Stiefla, but a costly mistake at the chicane made him fall behind the leading group.

S.Martin took his place at the front, and closed the gap to the Stiefla-Madjester pair!
These three ran together for a good portion of the race, before S.Martin and Madjester tangled together at the chicane, losing ground to Stiefla in the lead!

Unlike S.Martin, tho, Madjester had the pace to catch back again the AM Phoenix of Stiefla, and managed to pass him in Lap 12, making the most of a mistake from the rival!

Behind, M@Ci3k started whispering at the ear of his Porsche and he was flying: he caught back [PM] JAM 616 and S.Martin.
By Lap 26 he even caught back Stiefla, and was looking good for a pass: however, the chicane had other plans.

M@Ci3k went a bit too inside and clipped a tyre, rolling over in a spectacular way!
The pole lost over 40 seconds from the crash and the re-joining, but the 47 seconds gap he had over S.Martin before the crash was enough for him to mantain P3!

SGR Madjester took the chequered flag in first and he's now looking like a big championship contender!
P2 for B2R Stiefla, with another strong race, and P3 for M@Ci3k who took the fastest lap in the end.

This season's title battle is set to be absolutely thrilling!

S.Martin finishes in P4 ahead of [PM] Jam 616, who's still lacking a bit of pace compared to last season's efforts!
