because radio is offline...

so there would be a connection error, hence why i'v been up since...7 thismorning again trying to make sure that the website can get completed...but it doesnt look like its happening today either

im going to keep playing with the website and the server to see EXACTALLY what the problem is...

once the website is running you can go there and it will give you all the information on the server, when we're onair etc

Lessons to be learned:
Have a short repeating, "broadcasting soon" programme of a few minutes length. Broadcast it. Tweek server & web page. Then post 1 (or 3) announcement threads launching it

if your going to make what seem to be negitive posts towards myself and my team we wont bother with this at all...i mean we're paying for servers, url's, webservers, etc out our own pocket and all we seem to be getting from certain members is moans that the servers not running...well sorry but we are doing the best we can...the first couple of days this is to be expected...i mean we only got the new server on monday...and the other one has gremlins on it...we're working round the clock on it...

kind of, but stereo is more useful in games (ie in LFS) as you can hear where other people are (more effective with a 5.1 setup (thats surround sound, 5 speakers, each with a separate channel) but still possible with Stereo) by the engine note, or in FPS games you can often (if you have good ears) tell where a sound is coming from

OT here, but i wanted to know, i have a set of Creative P380 speakers, 2.1, not amazing but have a subwoofer and sound quite good, and a set of Sennheiser PX-100's, which are over ear headphones, and sound great, but don't have to much bass, which do you reckon would give me the best sound quality?

i tried to connect to the radio but it wasn't working. im an expert at radio streaming. been doing it along time. but i got out of it, cuz i wanted to do other things. you say you have spent money on servers and such, where is your website, i wanted to check it out, but nothing was posted about it.

just to give you all an update on whats happening... since you only heard from me once yesterday...

e107, my website & my radio station are bicering so im trying to mediate them and make sure the site works, while trying to upload everything and make the site look tidy......

im in the middle of setting up my server and you were right, person who said i was running mono...whoops...i thought shoutcast had kept my settings from running the old server...obviously not so i'v updated and we're now running 96kbps sterio

also for the person who was asking about sterio and mono...mono is when you hear sounds out of one channel...meaning if you cover one ear...your hearing in mono...mono near enough meaning single sounds...

sterio is when you hear sounds out of two channels like the way you listen to music or someone talking...

Racing Radio will be back on the air soon and with the forums to match hopfully (if the website plays ball)

once everything is ready we'll do a days worth of tests to check that the site and everything that goes along with it is running A OK then we'll give you another update on this thread and we'll be running as much as possible or i'll be running as much as i can with my bandwidth restraints...and the rest of the team will do the best we can

it does work but currently im getting my server updated...and im getting my own pc updated and i'v only just gotten back online...
