I like his idea though. Been pretty busy so i dont know if i could participate, but i would try... be it with LOTF (if allowed) or solo!

Yea, I'll take the lead, but I want the guys here to aggree on the tracks they would like to run. SimFIA will hold it, as this is turning into more of a league then anything else .

I'll have a draft soon for all of this, expect to be racing this in a month.

So is it still just gonna be lotf vs core vs nassa or is it any americans allowed?

I'd want this to be a team oriented event. But it's up the the rest, if they don't mind then who am I to stop it? This is a North American thing, you can join as your in a team, and your from North America.

I would be ok with ANY team joining up as long as they have an north american in there some where .

Then afterwards do something with North American drivers in general.

I'm so pleased with the response this thread has gotten.

Disregarding any existing leagues...

Lets move forward in the LFS community, a step beyond leagues.

I propose we establish a new North American association. Name it something simple and direct, not specific to a particular challenge or car selection.
Then, different series' or events regardless of cars, or even length, (endurance) could be presented by the association.
All of these folks and their respective teams would supply servers, manpower and donations for event planning, a website, etc.

What do you all think?

Eagle will put it's support behind that.

North American Association. (NAA). Now that's a funny acronym.

How about: North American Online Racing Association, NAORA (what is NAA an association of :S)

FYI...Members from CoRe Racing, BlackSheep SimRacing, Land Of The Free Racing, and Chops Racing Canada are already in the planning stages for a Western Hemisphere association/league similar to what is being discussed. After this Thursday (14-Sep), we will have already completed 2 test mini-leagues to check rules and procedures. Additionally, work is being done on a website/forums as we speak. We have considered doing another test league of around 4-6 races. We hope to be able to have everything in place to be able to announce our project in the coming weeks.

Perhaps the addition of the Eagles, NASSA, and a few independents, along with CoRe, LOTF, Blacksheep, and Chops is in order for another test Mini-League. What do you say to that?

Eagles are up for it. Just tell us where and when. Also the ammout of drivers to bring.

Eagles, you guys are more than welcome to join in. We had initially decided to run only one server (20 spots) with a reserve list. Currently, we have 16 signed up, with a potential for at least 4-6 more before even considering anyone from Eagles, NASSA, Memphis Bleek, and any of the South American guys from BAR, Vipers, etc. If we get enough interest, we will consider going to 2 servers.
