How to use mods
Hi

I have two questions about mods. First, is it possible to use mods offline? I have experienced that if I disconnect internet, switch to a standard car, I can´t load the mods car I just had. If I start the same race, the mods are in use with the AI drivers, but I can´t drive the mods car without connecting to internet.

The second question is how I can call on a mods car from a command line, like /CAR XFG. I haven´t found any way to do this with the mods.

Hope someone has the answers to these questions.

To use the mods offline, I don't know if this is the intended way of doing it, but in the loading screen when you have selected the track, you have the ability to save or load a grid, which includes the setup, skin and car last used when this grid was saved. I have over 400 mods that I have saved as a grid, and even if some of them are removed from the active mod list, I can still access them in single player
Hi. Thanks for the suggestion, I have to try it out. Not sure if I'm able to call on a specific mods by that way either tough...
I did post my question on the general forum too and OpenClutch had an interesting solution to driving mods offline, it also seems to work. "Not sure if it's a supported method, but you could go into the lfs folder, mods/vehicles, then find the mod you want to drive that you previously downloaded, take off the ~01 or whatever number, and do the same for the .veh file inside that folder. Then in lfs you can go to mods, and test at the bottom and it should show up in that list. No idea if this breaks the texturing or anything else though!"
So, thanks, and do take a look at the answers on the general forum.

i think it's pretty obvious it's not a supported method when you have to manually rename mod files outside the game.
